After a wonderful weekend of painting in the White Mountains I was headed home. Heading down Bear Notch Road I saw this vista, the subtle colors of the morning sky, the deep hues of the foothills and the white peaks of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range drew me in, I had to paint this scene.
