Tea and Oranges

Daffodils are a wonderful sign of spring. It seems like a requirement to gather up a bunch of them and put them on the kitchen table to mark the beginning of spring. In putting together this still life I wanted to include some of my sister-in-law's pottery. Looking for a final element I thought some oranges would be a nice touch. As I worked on my set-up it reminded me of the Joni Mitchell song "Suzanne", I use to sing to my children when they were babies. "...and he brings me tea and oranges, that come all the way from China".
