Landscape Oil Paintings

Halfway to Waterford

This landscape oil painting is of a scene in Ireland. We were traveling from Dublin to Waterford and stopped many times for photographs. The view of the cottage in the background and the sea and wildflowers in the foreground was a painting begging for a canvas. The gray skies of Ireland also added to the atmosphere. Painting skies is a an important part of setting the feel of the day in a landscape.
